Mileage Pay Off

The big miles everyone has been putting out are already paying dividends.

Robert Herriman 8th Place Pontiac TT
Chris Plesko - 4th Arizona 300
Tim Finkel - 2nd Cone Azalia
Cruise - 1st Cone Azalia
Dave Nice - Did not get killed by dumb ass redneck (driven off road during the T15)
Brent - 78th at sea otter, and killing it in all kinds of collegiate road races

Nice job everyone. Good luck with your season.
And if you have time, read this book. F U N!

Let's put it to a vote

A major rule change this year was allowing trainer miles to count 100% as opposed to 66.7% last year. How does everyone feel about this change, and do we want to change it?

Arguments for:
Spinning on the trainer can be easy as you can adjust your effort level.
Those putting in their miles outside are braving all weather conditions, and are potentially suffering much more.

Arguments against:
The rule was changed to encourage more people to join the challenge. It appears to be working.
MI is cold. CO is sometimes as cold, but not often. Even though I enjoy nicer temperatures, ergo easier miles on the road all my miles count at 100%.
No one is making you ride outside.

IT IS ON LIKE DONKEY KONG

Well 2009 10K challenge is going to be seriously scary. Tim has moved up to a level 3 monk with his 20 sided di. Herriman is not going to take it anymore and has already posted one of the highest months ever recorded for the challenge. Plesko, who even has hobbies outside of biking, might break his personal record for January. Abd Fixie Dave can no longer be contained to one state and has opened the entire west as his personal back yard.
